If you are comparing window cleaners, it is worth checking exactly what an exterior window clean includes. A price can look attractive until you discover that it covers the glass only, while frames or sills are treated as extras.
At Window Cleaning Telford, the standard residential exterior service is straightforward: the exterior glass, frames and window sills are cleaned as part of the normal clean. This guide explains what that means and what is not included.
Exterior glass
The glass is the most obvious part of the job. We use a purified water-fed pole system for exterior window cleaning. The system allows the exterior glass to be washed and rinsed from ground level on suitable residential windows.
If you are curious about the method itself, read our guide to how pure water window cleaning works.
Exterior window frames
Frames affect how the whole window looks, so our standard service does not stop at the glass. Exterior frames are included in the normal clean.
This is useful to clarify when comparing quotes: two cleaners may both advertise “window cleaning” while including different parts of the window in the price.
Window sills
Exterior window sills are also included. Dirt and debris can collect on these horizontal surfaces, so leaving them untouched can make a freshly cleaned window look unfinished.
What is not included?
Our current service is for residential exterior window cleaning. Interior window cleaning is not part of the standard service. If you need something outside the normal exterior glass, frames and sills service, it is better to ask before booking rather than assume it is included.
Regular or one-off cleaning
You can choose a one-off exterior clean or, if you want the windows maintained regularly, our regular round operates approximately every six weeks. If you are unsure which approach suits your home, see our guide on how often to have your windows cleaned in Telford.
What should you check when comparing window cleaning quotes?
- Does the price cover exterior glass only, or are frames and sills included?
- Is the quote for a one-off visit or a regular cleaning schedule?
- Is there a minimum charge?
- Is the service exterior only?
- How often will a regular cleaner return?
These questions make different quotes much easier to compare on a like-for-like basis.
How much does exterior window cleaning cost?
The price depends on the property rather than simply the number of panes. You can see our current guide pricing on the Window Cleaning Telford prices page. We look at the property and confirm the price before cleaning.
